The BittenBytes Network (AS213052)
Welcome to the homepage of AS213052, also known as BittenBytes!
We are a small ISP (registerd LIR - ORG-BW80-RIPE
- at the RIPE NCC
), with a focus on learning and personal development. However we do have some users using our services and therefor the network is threated as a full production network. Most maintenance to our network will be carried out outside of production hours from our clients (aka. during night-time).
IP space
We have some IP-space that we announce: you can find the route
-objects in the RIPE NCC Database
.
Hardware stack
The network currently consisits of two border routers one located at Coloclue
’s Qupra datacenter and another one in Nikhef. The router in Qupra is called rtr-003-ams.as213052.net
and is a virtualized router (MikroTik CHR), the Nikhef router is called rtr-002-ams.as213052.net
and is a MikroTik CCR2116. In the near future I expect to add a third border-router at Duocast
in Groningen.
I’ve chosen to use MikroTik due to the cost effectivness and the broad features set that I knew. In the future I would like to experiment a bit more with linux based routers (aka. BIRD and VPP), but that will probably take some time.
